Junior Interior Designer
Kayelee Ryan
Born in Houston but spending much of her childhood in Philadelphia, Kayelee grew up with a blend of Southern comfort and East Coast energy that shaped her sense of style and curiosity. Even as a young girl, she was drawn to interiors, constantly rearranging her bedroom, looking at floor plans, and redesigning her dollhouses. Her Southern roots eventually led her back to Texas, where she studied Interior Design at Texas Christian University. Texas Christian University strengthened her passion for design and introduced her to new interests, including Architectural Lighting Design.
Her junior year became a turning point. While studying abroad in Florence, she traveled to nine countries, exploring cities where architecture, culture and everyday life are intertwined. From the ornate palaces of Vienna to the colorful streets of Marrakech, each place left its mark. Paris quickly became her favorite, but it was Italy’s craftsmanship and artistry that helped refine her eye for detail. Travel remains one of her greatest sources of inspiration, and she brings those influences into her work.
Kayelee has worked in both commercial and residential design, gaining experience with a range of project scales and style. Over time, she discovered that residential interiors feels the most rewarding. She believes there is something meaningful about shaping spaces that people come home to.
Outside of work, Kayelee is often planning her next travel adventure, working out, catching up with friends, or spending time with her two rescue cats, Alex and Milo.
Aesthetic & Philosophy
Kayelee describes her design style as traditional with heritage influences- rooted in earthy, muted color palettes, natural materials, and layered textures that create interiors both comfortable and timeless.
Her design philosophy is grounded in the belief that the built environment should reflect the beauty of the natural world, drawing inspiration from God’s creation. She is drawn to soft, understated hues- taupes, warm whites, and browns- balanced with deeper tones like rich greens, terracottas, and slate-blue accents. Kayelee continually finds herself returning to natural materials: reclaimed woods, unlacquered brass, marble, and linens. Their evolving patina brings warmth, character, and a sense of story to every space.
Ultimately, she aims to create interiors that feel collected, lived-in, and deeply personal, spaces that age gracefully and honor the quiet beauty of natural materials.
